Good luck scooter, if you have never been up there, it is a lot of fun. They are harvesting full swing up there right now, so you will have deer moving around for sure. Stick near the corn fields, they seem to really prefer to be in or around unharvested/harvested corn fields VS bean fields.

Well, made it back. Cold and windy as @#$%. But good, crisp days. Did manage to kill a record book doe..177 lbs. Missed a good 8 point. Had a mechinical breakdown...hit my binocs when I shot. Cut the top of his back (guy killed him a few days later... )

My other friends didn't fair so well. Both stuck GOOD bucks (10 pts), but retreived NOTHING.

I saw 25-30 bucks in those 5 days. No BS. Seven of them went 130 or better. One in our group had a 155-160 class buck coming straight to him but he turned 50 yds. out. He said, "it's a good thing..I probably would have had a meltdown if I had to shoot."

All in all had a great time. Many bucks seen by all. BUCKMAN was born from a T-shirt I wore, and soon it will go worldwide in the hunting world... I wore it the day I missed that deer, and afterwards I became SUCKMAN. Oh well, easy come, easy go. Buckman may even re-appear one day soon on this forum..

Anyway, David35 may have a few other comments about the hunt later.
