Great Morning
Great Morning
Sunrise yesterday morning found me in a lock on over looking a green field with a flooded cypres brake directly to my left.
As the sun began to rise the sound of wood ducks filled the air and snow geese could be heard migrating over head. It was just one of those mornings that make me keep going back.
After watching the woodduck show for the first 45 minutes of daylight, something caught my attention in the green field. A doe and her two spotted fawns were having breakfast 15 feet from my tree. I watched them for probably 20 minutes and they eventually disappeared into the cypress thicket. Not long after movement in the brake caught my eye. Two bucks a small 6 and a nice 8 were headed my way.
I knew if they stayed on there current path the would pass 20 yards from my stand. the 6 point was in the front with the 8 about 20 feet behind. and for whatever reason the 8 started to go wide on me. I ranged him at 36 yards and came to full draw.
Just as I did he turned looking straight at me. It seemed like forever but finally he went broad side offering me a beautiful shot. As I released i watched the white vanes of my carbon express disappear right behind the shoulder. He jumped and ran about 30 yards and stopped.. I could it was a perfect hit and he laid down and expired in sight.
My biggest buck with a bow 127 5/8 gross 8 point...
A truly wonderful morning..........

That shouldn't be too much of a problem if you have a decent internet connection - either cable or DSL. If you're on a dial-up, that's a different story.H20 Fowl wrote:My puter is older than Tunica..![]()
