Deer movement yesterday evening

Postby deredwine » Fri Oct 13, 2006 6:09 am

I rushed to the stand yesterday afternoon after work to find that the deer were already feeding where I wanted to hunt so; I went to another spot and found that the deer were already at this spot as well. I decided I would take my chances and run them out of the food plot in hopes that they would come back. I didn't even get situated in my stand when the first deer started to move. About an hour later I killed my second doe of the season. I made a great shot on her and she didn't go 10 yards. There is no better feeling in the whitetail woods than making a good shot on a deer with a bow. I hope this afternoon will be good also.
Be still boys they're fixing to do the dance.

Me too. When I drove in to camp there were deer running everywhere. I got on the stand pumped and didn't see a single deer. Maybe tomorrow I will be luckier.

Woods! Agree with Grommet, our acorns are falling hard! I'll be in the cutover watching a white oak flat. It will be first light or 9:00 there for me if I get one, always has been...always will be. Good luck to everyone this weekend and be safe.

I didn't have any luck yesterday after work either. Didn't see a deer from the stand, but I saw 5 on the way out from the stand to the house. I'll be back after them this weekend though.
