Thanks for ask'n Judge. Here in Hattiesburg it's not been too bad. We've had about 8" in the last 24 hrs at my house west of town. The wind hasn't been too bad either, around 35 mph gusts off and on all day long. I heard the flooding was bad on the coast and in N.O. We're hanging in there. I hope this fills the duck holes up in the Delta. I'm headed to the camp Sat. morning hoping to find some teal....

Judge, we are doin' fine, a good bit of water fell, and a pretty big storm sugre wich won't be good for our marshes this year at all, but oh well at least no one died. Just a lot of rain, and a little wind, not too bad there either. I think all in all we did fine for getting hit with a big tropical storm. now hope it helps fill everyones duck holes, cause our marshes are gonna stink this year and were gonna need a place to hunt!!

Judge, thank you for asking, we are doing ok. It was not too bad here in Slidell. We had a little over 10 in. of rain and the wind blew a little bit. When the storm moved North and the wind started coming in from the North and West it got the south side of Slidell. Some people got water in their holmes that have not seen water in 35 years. Just think if this storm was a sure enough monster. You can make room for me up North if a big one does come. Jack

PS. Jeff is right on, the marsh is probably done for this year. There was a great deal of food and now there will be empty ponds.
Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

A good bit of flooding, and I lost a little oak tree in the yard, but no worries, mate!
So many ducks, so little time....

Just a 6 inch rain at my home. Since I drove quite a bit today, the folks with problems are in areas below 15 feet elevation. They have a mess to clean up, but most have seen worse. As I am watching the Civil War movie, I see that all the delta counties have flash flood watches. Looks like you may have received as much rain as we did. Hope you are on high ground yourself.
