I just put in for my holiday vacation time yesterday. Well, not the Illinois hunt

October 23-27 Illinois bowhunt
November 27-30 Camp officially opens
December 5-8 The 'unofficial' Rut
December 25-29 Crimus break

If your not self employed, I recommed getting fired during the middle of November, then after many days of trying real hard... get a job in the middle of February. Got to have Feb. 1-15th off to relax after 2 and 1/2 months of hardcore exploits.

In a serious note, if you want to hunt with less pressure I find you want to stay away from week of T-day and around Christmas and New Years. Lots of peole are out of school and lots of people hunting. I like January, and the first week of the season over here. First week of the season is almost always a sure thing when thre are no storms ripping us a new one prior to the season. I also like hunting during the week as opposed to the weekends, of course the weekends can be nice too as more pressure can keep the birds flying.

Does the Dec. 25-29 have anything to do with the conversation we just had?
