you can look at all the rankings you want...most of those factors have NOTHING to do with the quality of education at a Law School and EVERYTHING to do with prestige and a students performance before they get to Law School.... Undergrad GPA, LSAT (all these tell you is how tough it is to get into a school) and national reputation are some of the main factors (which is pretty subjective honestly and has very little bearing on the quality of education). Furthermore, the bar passage rate has been very similar the past few years, at times MC has had a higher passage rate and vice versa. Do not put much stock into rankings...unless you're at a top 30 program you still need to finish pretty high up in your class to have a job at graduation (most folks don't get one until they pass the bar). You can find all the bar passage rates and employment stats at the schools website if you're interested.

That being said, visit any school you are considering and sit in on a lecture...Law School is not like undergrad by any means....

MC made its living for a long time off kids with money who could not get into Ole Miss' law school. I don't think it is that way much anymore. I could never have justified the cost of MC since I was admitted to Ole Miss, and had scholarship money to boot.

At MC, I could have never drank beer and played racketball all day with Meeka/Dawg and all the other people on here who went to school with us but won't fess up to being lawyers.

And yes, if you don't go to class and study your rear off you will flunk out. One out of every three students does.

Amen on all except for the drinking beer issue...the Law School is a bit more "mature" than the undergrad campus....
