Has picked their game of the week.
South Panola v. Olive Branch

Mississippi powers to clash in Game of the Week
Updated 9/27/2006 12:50 PM ET

No. 17 South Panola of Batesville, Miss., puts its 50-game win streak on the line this Friday when it visits Region 1 rival Olive Branch Friday at 8 p.m. ET in this week's USA TODAY High School Football Game of the Week.
An audio webcast of the game will be available at preps.usatoday.com, featuring the broadcast of WBLE in Batesville, Miss. The play-by-play will be handled by Bob Norris, who has been doing the South Panola games for the past 22 years, and George Carlson. A pregame show will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

South Panola (5-0) is Mississippi's three-time defending Class 5A state champion and defeated Olive Branch twice last year, including 26-0 in the 5A semifinals.

Olive Branch (5-0) features a prolific offense which averages 60 points per game, with scoring outputs of 72 and 89 points, and a stingy defense that has pitched four consecutive shutouts.

Anybody have any predictions?
I said at the beginning of the season that I thought this would be the year SP lost a game. I don't want them to but i think it's going to happen

South Panola will beat them easily. OB has played no one so far in the season that anyone would consider competitive.

I tend to agree with GH22. South Panola fills their OOC schedule with quality teams like Clarksdale and Moss Point. Olive Branch, on the other hand, plays cup cakes until they enter the conference. Competition makes you better. SP will win 27-13. However, if SP were to lose a game this year, this would be it.

By the way, how bad do you feel if your son was on the team that had 89 points dropped on them? That is a solid basketball score. I used to do that with the Raiders on Techmo Bowl.
