just wanted to vent a little about my mooching buddies

you guys know the ones that always left there wallet in there "other" pants or the ones that will pay you back the "next time" they see you

just wanted to see what kind of response you guys had and hopefully this will reach the ones to which i am refering (you know who you are)

thought maybe a little public humiliation would trigger a response

Very true doctor. I dont dip anymore but when I did it seemed like I had to keep a can for myself and one for everyone else.


Now when you get to a hunting camp thats when the real mooching begans. You have a few to show up and do everthing, spend money on food plots, stands, blinds, and just time in general. And then when the season shows up the ones who never make it to the work days are the first ones to show up.

You couldn't be anymore right. Its funny how they can never spare an hour of their busy work schedule to come help put in a blind. Then when the season starts they can take 2 weeks vacation time from work. Then on their days off they can't go do anything cause their wife or gf would be mad at them. Then come season they are constantly laughing about how their wife or gf is getting mad at them for hunting so much. Becomes quite irratating, but the silver lining is me and my one true buddy getting things built to our satisfaction without having to cater to someone elses liking.

Does it make your meager little existance in this great big world seem more .... meaningful.... fulfilling perhaps (?).... in starting useless little threads pertaining to the one time that you had an extra dollar and in a moment of generosity offered to pay for something only to realize that the transaction had left you at the maximum balance allowed on your 9th and last available credit card?? Perhaps, in that you are, after all, a man of means and obviously great wealth, you should aspire to find a new set of friends. Maybe even in a far off place where they actually give two s***'*.

MAN...Does this ever hit home !! I have a tassle of friends..I think that is what I should call them....Who like to duck hunt...almost as much as I do.... AND NOTHING>>>I MEAN NOTHING can ruin a weekend quicker...than after traveling a few hours in the car with one of these "loafers" listening to stories about what a great year its been as a ....stockbroker, lawyer, doctor, farmer, plumber...whatever....you stop to get gas (remember he is hunting for free at your place and couldnt make it to work on pits, or set out decoys) he doesnt have any $$ ...and then has the f ,ng nerve to ask if you can loan him $2 to buy a coke and a candy bar !!!

Last time one of my friends pulled this s-it on me.... I walked out of the store, after he had started eating and drinking , and when he made it out to the truck, he told me he had talked the lady into taking a check for 96 cents !! Now there is a Creative Loafer !!!!

For some reason I think its just meant to be..in life, at the office, hunting or wherever....some of us take responsibility and " take care of our business" and others sort of wander through life, loafing and freeloading off the work of others....

Believe me, it has nothing to do with how much $$ you have...I know some damn poor loafers that arent worth a cuss and some mighty fine rich folks who will break their back to help you out !! thats not really the point....I think its called "home training"
