Early One Morning

Postby laduck » Wed Sep 11, 2002 6:48 pm

Soon now, our waiting will be over. We will find ourselves reliving a ritual that seems as important a part of our lives as any birthday, anniversary or holiday. Gone will be the sweltering sauna of summer heat, the weariness of unrelenting sunshine. Just before dawm, the little breezes that rustle the dry, browning marsh grasses will be bracing, with the promise of the winter to come. Overhead, in the jeweled velvet, there will be the sounds of geese on the move and perhaps, if you're in a lucky location, even the whisper of wings as a passing flock of ducks begins its dawn patrol. Early one morning we will become waterfowl hunters again. Teal season opens this weekend. I hope that all of you have good luck and a safe trip. Jack

I bet your English teachers loved you! Good job! My mother is a college English teacher, I've read many essays, sounds pretty creative. You should send in some stuff to a magazine sometime.....
