I'm off to see the dentist.
It has been about 10 years since I have been to the dentist. Can't wait to hear about how I should have been flossing. Wish me luck.

Can you say periodontal surgery?
Yep, 10 years no flossing = a full gum surgery to the tune of around $6000.
It's real KEWL!! They only put you half asleep......then they cut your gums in several places and peel your gums away from your teeth all the way down past the roots........then they scrape all the tarter, calculus and backy out from under your teeth that's accumulated over 10 years, then cut your gum tissue (they call it the 'flap') so it isn't as deep from your gumline to where the pockets are that will need routine cleaning by a hygenist for the next 40 years........run stitches from one side of your gums, through tha gap in yo teeth and tie it off on the other side, holding both gums in place while the blood glues'em back to yer teeth (what's left of'em), then they pack wax against everything to hold it in place for the next month, while you sip all yo meals through a straw. Then the wax comes-off while your sleeping and you have to go to the emergency room before you choke to death. Then you look in the mirror and yo teeth have grown longer (well that's what it looks like in really bad cases - but actually, it's cause they cut half your gum tissue away so they can get to yo roots to clean'um from now, on.
But don't be too alarmed.......your case might not be this severe.
Good luck........
OH, while we're on the subject of health issues......(Just so everyone knows).......I'm going to see my proctologist, next week........then to the opthamologist........then they are 'gonna consult with each other and see if they can do something about my crappy outlook on life.
I think I heard one of them call the surgery an opto-rectomy, or something like that.

I think I'll just take my chances going every six months!!!
