The NFL today extended the television blackout deadline for Saturday night’s Saints-Colts game at Missisippi Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Saints officials said 50,173 tickets had been sold as of 3 p.m. today. Stadium capacity is 60,000.
The new deadline is 6 p.m. Friday, 24 hours before kickoff. The Saints ticket office will be open from 8 a.m-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. through halftime of Saturday’s game.
Tickets are available in various price ranges throughout the stadium.
If the game is not sold out, it could be blacked out within a 75-mile radius of Jackson.
The NFL set a similar extension last week for the Saints-Cowboys game in Shreveport, but lifted that blackout although fewer than 50,000 tickets were sold at Independence Stadium.
