We shot 90 between 6 of us on a little piece of govt land. Can't/won't say where, but it wasn't a baited field or anything...just near some water relatively close to roosting areas.

me and two young boys got 15, that's a family limit....it's hard to coach and shoot. wish I would have shot a few clay birds last weekend. I was pretty dang rusty during the first box of shells.

I hated that two in the afternoon start. I still can get enough water in me.

I was pretty proud of myself, I went 4 for 5 to start. I would have went 5 for 5, but the last 3 were a "triple" and I rushed the 3rd shot. I know what you mean about the water, I drank a whole gallon thermos in the afternoon.

I shot better than I ever have. I am usually a modest person but I have to say I was proud of myself. I limited both days (which has never happened before).

Sunday, 11 of us hunted and killed probably 130 or so.
Monday about 15 peole shot and I dont know how many were dilled but me and my father both left while the shooting was still going with 30 birds.
I hope dove season of what duck season will be like.

Smacked'em Sunday, Monday, and today! One of the best years I can remember. Hope the ducks migrate like the doves did!

Had lots of birds but too much grass and weeds. We'll cut some more sunflowers this week to clear the landing pad. I passed on about 70% of possible shots...not as blood thirsty as I used to be. There is no point in shooting one if you can't find them.

Good news is my 5 month old lab (Wildfowler's stock) picked up 4 birds on Monday AM. I had her back at the house before it warmed up. She is gonna be one hell of a dog if I may say so.

Softcall, I ran into Mrs. Softcall at the MM the other day. Did you like the birthday present that Softcall, Jr. picked out?

I'm glad to hear she's doin' well, Softcall. The only limitation of these pups are the limitation of the owner. I know that I didn't get the full potential out of the squealer when she was being trained by me.

Keep up the good work!!

Well of course Hambone. Thanks for the technical advice. That is my new dog watering station. Holds a bowl and 2 quarts of water for the hounds. It also appears to handle 6 12oz cans of your favorite beverage BUT if you are creative (as I often am) - it will hold 11.

Went on the best dove hunt I've been on in a long, long time.
Started at 3:00 Sunday and was done by 4:15.
Started at about 3:30 on Monday and was done by 5:00.
