Fant Not Playing Against Oregon - NCAA rules violation!!!

Postby Drake » Fri Aug 30, 2002 3:15 pm

Unfortunately, Mississippi State will be without Kevin Fant in the game against Oregon. Allegedly, a Miss. State alumni bought a new set of tires for Fant's vehicle. So, the freshman York will start. This will be interesting to see how the team reacts. I sure hope we're ready to play.

Being an Ole Miss student it is still unfortunate for a Mississippi team to lose their starting quaterback because of a rules violation. Hopefully for state they have been giving York enough snaps.

College football is big buisness though

Did the Dawgs play the Ducks tonight? From what I saw on tv...the Dawgs just observed Oregon running up and down the field.

Looks like LSU forgot to show up for their game as much as the Dogs did theirs. :D

Everyone was so high on Eli and he only had 2 more passing yards than did York. At halftime, I turned the Ole Miss game off because it sounded more like a high school team than SEC.

True. A pity they actually WON....isn't it

Cutcliffe was just going through the motions. He could have easily turned it into a huge rout.

Perhaps we should change the name of this board to "Hate Manning Early."

TELL EM GC, HEY CEPHOUS LET'S COMPARE STAT'S AT THE END OF THE YEAR. YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO THAT UNLESS THE BOY GET'S HURT HE'S HEADED FOR 30+ TD'S AND 3,000 YARDS. I KNOW IT'S HARD FOR YOU MSU FANS TO REALIZE IT,BUT WE'VE GOT THE REAL DEAL AT QB,AND HE CAN AFFORD HIS OWN TIRES.

ANOTHER THING, WHO CARES WHAT HE DONE STAT WISE IN THAT GAME, HE WENT THROUGH THE MOTIONS FOR 3 QUARTERS NEVER FINDING HIS RHYTHYM AND STILL HAD STATS THAT MSU FANS WOULD LOVE TO SEE FROM A QB.

MANNING VS. YORK,HA,HA,HA, YOU BETTER HOPE TO GOD THAT THIS FANT SITUATION GET'S STRAIGHTENED OUT BEFORE THEN, AT LEAST HE WOULD MAKE IT INTERESTING.

You boys must have not watched the ole miss game. I did see the post game with the coach Sunday morning. After seeing that I wasn't so depressed about them dawgs anymore. ULM had to be one of the slowest college football teams I had ever seen and Ole Miss didn't impress me none.

Looks like LSU got a wake up call too.

A WIN IS A WIN, DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU LOOK, I'LL TAKE AN UGLY WIN ANYDAY AGAINST AN UGLY LOSS LIKE THE DOGS HAD.

COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN A BLOWOUT 50 POINT WIN, BUT WE DECIDED TO BE SMART AND PLAY EVERYONE, HELL I THINK THE TRAINER'S PLAYED A FEW SNAPS.

eli

Postby bigbear » Tue Sep 03, 2002 1:25 pm

I wish eli the best, but he and Ole Miss better hope that it doesn't take 3 quarters for him to find his rhythm every game! If he was to play like that against a real team, he would get slaughtered. You can get away with not finding your rhythm when you aren't playing anyone. I'm sure Ole Miss did get to go through the motions it was just like playing a high school scrimmage team.
