Drake has a separate line called Rutwear for big game hunters. There's a link to it on the Drake website.

I actually emailed Mossy Oak a couple of weeks ago concerning the new Bottomland and what products would be offered and when. The mechandising manager stated, "We will be carrying the Drake Fleece Lined Pullover, Wader Pant, and the 4-in-1 Refuge Wader Coat. Basic items will arrive in WP around Sept. 1, but the Drake items in Bottomland are scheduled for delivery Sept. 15. "

Good news about Drake.

Now if we can just get Columbia back on board. Teul, I actually did send an email to Columbia re this "sitiation". I have received two emails in response, both letting me know they are diligently working on getting me an answer. I will most likely be talking to Ma Boyle herself next week about it. Since I am so damned important, I expect to have bottomland Columbia Widgeon jackets available by the time we have our first frost this fall. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, just remember: when its hot and sticky, its no time to dunk the dicky; but when the frost is on the pumpkin, its time for dicky dunkin. Not really sure what this has to do with Mossy Oak camo patterns, but the reference to the first frost of the season got me to thinking................ :D

Po I picked up some Bottomland Omni bibs on Ebay last fall , there were years old but still had the tags, love them, I see 3 in ones on there from time to time. I agree that Columbia is costing themselves big time, They really went big time with the duck gear assesories bout four years ago just when hunting slowed down some guess their feeling jaded. Sierra trading post carries alot of their clouseouts too but you won't find bottomland there.

What I think you're seeing is a general move by manufacturers away from paying licensing fees for camo when they can come up with something on their own. The Columbia pattern silent stalker (I believe) is almost a dead ringer for the old treestand.

Here is the response I received from Columbia re the matter:

"The Hunting Department informs me that, unfortunately, we will not be going forward with branded camo patterns for future production. We will offer our own camo patterns only. I'm sorry to disappoint you."

So, if you had your heart set on a new Columbia Widgeon jacket in ANY branded camo pattern, then you are SOL. As some have indicated, you may still be able to find some old Columbia jackets, etc. in MO and other branded patterns in closeouts, etc. But, once those are gone, it appears that will be all there will ever be for the foreseeable future.

Somehow, I will survive. And if I did "STAY HOME", BBB would not have anyone to shoot his ducks for him, keep him out of jail, and prevent him from shooting his dog.
