Mossy Oak Hunting Retriever Club
Ok guys here is where the problem lies. When Mossy Oak wanted to join HRC the people that put on the preliminary had only been to one or two hunts test in their lives. It went off fairly nice and I will have to admit it was not as well organized as Southern Flights. Southern Flight has Lew and a number of others who have been around hunt test for years. Even before the preliminary was ever held Mossy Oak was scheduled to host the Grand.Well when the Grand came along here comes truck loads of people to help. You had Mike McElroy with SMHRC trailor load of equipment. You had Donald Greene to take care of the birds. You had people running over each other to do things. Well I guess Brad,Radale, Will, Brain and one or two others thought that is how it is going to be every time. They had to gradually get equipemnt, and they are trying to build up membership also. These people have had to live up to a BIG name. Sure you would expect people with the name Mossy Oak to be able to push a button and things will happen. That is not the case. Mossy Oak is one of the smallest clubs in Region 5. They are trying. Please we need to all try and pull together. I am proud as a peacock to be the field repersentive of the best region in the HRC organization. But it makes my heart sad to see such thing written on the message board about other clubs or members in our region. Lets pull together and make this an even better organization. If you are passing a lake and see a fellow member drowning don't throw him a concret block. Throw him a rope or swim out and help. With all that said I'll get off my soap box. BE HAPPY. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO SAD OR MAD. If it anyones fault that Mossy Oak is not a top notch club it is mine for not doing my job. So if anyone on this board wants to chew ass chew on mine, but let me give you a piece of advice before you start chewing, you won't find a place that has not been chomped on before. This is the last sentence of this message. I LOVE EVERYBODY I JUST LOVE SOME MORE THAN OTHERS. Bobby, I look forward to meeting you.
I'll re-state my question for the benefit of those that want to make plans to attend the training day.
What time are ya'll planning on starting, give or take a half hour?
As in the past (and if we're able to attend), I'll stand behind a winger until somebody takes pity on me, and relieves me. We have brought our 4-wheeler in the past to use as a shuttle. We will continue to help, any way we know how.

Well I don't know what time to be there. What do you say Brian? It is about a two hour drive for me and I plan to bring Ben and Rob and maybe Tyler. Put a time on the board and go for it.

I don't think we where negative in any way. I think it only makes sense they would want to know, wouldnt it? I spent hours basically surveying people after our prelim, wanting to know down to the littlest detail, anything they didnt like.
Understand being people short. But if thats the case, get on the phone, or email, or these boards and ask your neighboring clubs to help. Organization can make up for numbers, belive me, and finding out sat morning of the hunt you aint got nuff folks, aint gettin you anywhere. Sounds to me like you got some potential members right there in town, that given a lil consideration might help ease yo woes some. travis

Drake, aint no rookies in an HRC club, just new folks! The 20-30 bucks to join an hrc club is the BEST money you'll ever spend. travis
