Regardless of the framework, I've decided that I'm going to hunt nothing but coots, shovelers, and cormorants from the truck while they sit on catfish ponds. I won't need a dog or waders, 'cause I'm gonna just leave 'em there anyway.

Football needs to hurry up and get started so I'll have something to take my mind off of the wait for duck season.

We shoot the coots, cormorants, and pelicans from March 1st til Sept 1 @ 2:00 pm.

I tried to do some Canadian goose hunting in Robinsonville, but the folks in the hotel got mad at me for making all that racket at 6 am.

I vote for straight through with no close...but I still think 50 and 5 was wiser than 60 and 6...As such, I like what ARKANSAS did by cutting the limit to 5 birds, 4 mallards, 1 hen mallard...I hope MS does the same.

Hammer, I'm with you. I made a post a week ago that every true conservationist should have a self imposed limit of 10 days and 3 ducks.
I'm waiting on the Real Men to step up to the plate.

I was all for the 3/30 but 3/10 is alittle extreme.

I guess I won't be one of those that step up to the plate. But what the heck I know there is not a handful in the state that will and if they do it is simply because they don't have the love of the sport as some do.

I would really like many wings cupped, and orange feet stuck out over my blocks everyday, my gun barrel hot, my hunting partner to leave his calls in the truck, and his dog at the house. If I could have these few items the season frame work is small peanuts. Am I asking to much?

10 days and 3 ducks?

O.K.......I get to pick those 10 days and I can smack 6 ducks/day on those days. The other 50, I'll be content to average 3 ducks/day.

I'm only going to hunt 45-50 days anyway, but it'll be nice to choose which days (out of 60,) I think will be most productive.

I SURE DO WISH SANTA WOULD BRING ME ABOUT A 150-160 CLASS BUCK FOR THE '02-'03 SEASON! OHH, AND MANY CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF 25-35 DEGREE WEATHER WOULD BE NICE ALSO!

November 23-December 1. Close December 2-6. December 7 - January 26. I don't care what the limit is. If last year had not been as slow as it was, do y'all think that there would be as much enthusiasm for lower limits and/or fewer days?

Do a search from last year and you will find a few of us even wanted it then. Sure would have saved a lot of wear and tear on my truck and body had I not chased them around for 60 days. (Key word being chased.)

I'll take 10 days and 3 ducks....as long as it is 10 individual hunts that happen about 24 hours from a front moving through, and of course, a tornado for Judge JB.

--motto,"hunt the front"

really, I'll take days over numbers and shove the days as late as possible straight through, not wasting any days when I would have to spray deep woods off to keep from getting eaten alive.

Although, I think reducing numbers is harder for the wardens to police than reducing days.
