UM and MSU QB Situation

Oh, wait - it doesn't matter.

But I guess when your best-case scenario is 4-7, you have to get your licks in wherever you can. This year is going to be a very, very long one for both teams. I think both programs could put people in at random and nobody would really notice the difference.

MSU football fans should actually be happy to go 4-7 over the next 3 years. Despite being the first black coach in the SEC, he still just can’t get enough quality talent to want to go to Starkville, black coach or not.

Brent Schaffer or not, Ole Miss isn’t looking much better. Outside of Patrick Willis, there just ain’t all that much there. There are lots of things that *might* be good, but it’s pretty much all just speculation at this point. If the Rebel underclassmen can develop and if Orgeron can continue to get some top HS and JC talent in, 2007 and 2008 might be pretty good, but there are way too many ifs to predict any better than 5-6. 4-7 if Schaffer ever bothers to show up.
