Kenneth at Van's knows his stuff. He was with primos for years so he aint a newbee just put in charge of a bow shop.

I wouldn't take a bow from hadads if they were giving them away!!!!! The few times I have been in there they look at you like you are an outsider intruding and imposing on their stomping ground and I have heard this from too many folks. If you aint in the coffee drinking crew they seem that they would just as soon you stay away. NOT FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL AT ALL!!!

Bills in pearl is good as well since they do only deal with archery equipment and they have been around for a while.

I called Bill's yesterday a/b a Mathews I'm looking to buy, and he talked my ear off on facts a/b Mathews bows. Draw length, poundage pulls, etc. Very informative. 8)

Kenneth work on my bow last year and did a pretty good job. I was basically looking for something a little closer to the house, but if it takes driving over there to get the work done right you can better believe you'll see an F250 blowin diesel smoke headed that way.

I'm not the best authority b/c I don't live in Jackson, but several years back I was living in Wesson and I visited Pearl a couple times and that is one of the best bow shops that I have went to for sure...

Tell you another good one is Waldo's in Columbia. Sorta out the way, but it's an excellent place!!!

Nothing wrong with Bill's but I like Emerson Outdoors. Emerson had me and my bow shooting straight and true in no time. His location is very convenient to Hwy. 25 and the resevoir area.

i second the Emersons posts! I am a newbie to bow hunting and he has REALLY helped me out! he has not BS'd me at all and has really got me going. helped me with some draw length problems and sighting in my bow. I hear he sold the first compound bow in MS. has been doing this for 30 something years. very down to earth, straight shooter!
