When will it rain!!

Postby timber-hunter » Thu Aug 15, 2002 3:07 pm

We have had absolutely no rain here in north MS to speak of. So you know what that means it will start one day and will not let up. I have already had to disc my garden. Usually i don't do that until late Sept. I have aven went out to the dove field to scratch around and I had to quit for the dust. It was as dry as a powder keg. I guess I am just ready for alittle cooler weather with a few fowl flying around.

Canton Coot Killer, well I see you figured out how to mail the rain. I got over 6" of rain starting Wednesday night.

I went down to GCs duck hole and he got 1.5" just right. I guess he is living right.

Been a dust bowl here as well. We got about 2" in one day, back in July, and that is ALL we have had since about the first of May. Luckily, my sunflowers filled out and now they are drying up real nice like. Just got a couple more inches Thursday and Friday...first good rain in a month and a half here.
