Obviously Ole Miss has a great team or they would not be in a super regional, but this has been a terrible display of pitching. Every Ole Miss pitcher looks awkward on the mound with bad mechanics. It also looks like little league where you just try to throw strikes. Have they scouted the Miami hitters at all.

keep your heads high rebs.... we weren't even supposed to be close to this game.... our neighbors to the southeast and northwest were supposed to be here and didnt' come close.... we lose coghlan and possibly presley and white... and no, i don't mean that as a jab to either of those teams, just stating that sometime's when you're supposed to be great in baseball you aren't, though both teams were good this year, and when you're not supposed to be worth anything, you can play beyond your potential and excel. In other words, as a great coach once said, "that's baseball"

Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....
What pisses you off the most about the loss if you're a player.....not the loss, not that you don't get to go to Omaha....but watching another team DOGPILE on YOUR field. It will make you want to kick their booty. MSU was ranked #1 in 1989 and lost in the regional to North Carolina.....what keeps playing through your mind is them DOGPILING.....

tough break for the Rebs, some good baseball though...to me it all started when they walked the runner (Weeks I believe) to first creating a force at any base with two outs
I understand the reasons to walk a batter, but have never agreed with deliberately putting any one on base
better luck next year

Fundamentals. Same for bunting. Then there was another bunt right after the inital one and he got on base.
Far as walking a guy, I'm all for it when the momentum is going on your side. They tried to get something to happen and it backfired.
Then again, I don't think they intentionally walked Weeks only for the double play. The entire game he has been power hitting. They didn't want their pitcher to face him and he hit one out the park. They wanted to face another batter instead of him. For the 'cane, everybody on the team was pulling through. Can only throw so many fastballs before a batter will start getting your timing down.
The Rebs played a good game till the last out. They didn't let up and get down on themselves.

When batting right handed, Weeks had been a terror all weekend. And with the lefty G. White on the mound, Weeks was back to batting from the right side. Good coaching move, IMO. Just did not work out. At that point, the mindset was to mitigate the damage caused by giving up the surprise bunt single to lead off the inning, and the subsequent error by our 2nd baseman. Playing good defense would have likely led to a 3 up and 3 down inning. Instead, they get a grand slam and the game is essentially over. That's baseball.
