Postby Nuker » Wed May 31, 2006 12:19 pm

I'm wanting to get one and I want to make sure that I can get SEC sports and not some WAC/Big 10/ACC crap.

On gameday, most SEC schools are on Sirius and you will get all major games. Also, for no charge, you can get the Playboy channel on 198.

OK what exactly in the Playboy channel! I mean really? Isn't Playboy's whole purpose the visual aspect of the woman? I mean, I got XM and u have to order Playboy seperate, and I am not exactly sure the purpose of the Playboy on the dagum radio?

My wife bought me a XM for my birthday and I simply took it back to get Sirius because of the SEC among other channels. I don't know the long term contract of the schools, but the major sporting events is carried by Sirius. I believe NASCAR is coming over next year too.

XM from my understanding carries MLB games.

If you want college sports go with SIRUS, I'm so glad I have one. Regular radio in my opinion sucks. How many car spots does one have to hear in a day? Answer: ZERO thanks to Sirius!!!

Sirius, by next year will basically have everything worth listening to. Xm's big seller is the Snoop Dogg channel and MLB. Give me a break!!!!!

camlock...it's all oral.....

if I remember correctly all of the SEC schools will be negotiating independent contracts to begin in 1998, so it will depend on which school you want to hear....I think the SEC contract with Sirius is up then as well, but I'm not sure....

Off the top of my head XM has MLB, NASCAR, Howard Stern, Indy, ESPN Sports, ESPN News, and FOX Sports. The only college leagues they have are ACC, Pac 10 and Big 10.
