Most LSU fans won't be upset with this because they know they didn't deserve a bid. LSU's had this coming to them for a long time now with the NCAA hooking them up with sop regionals at Alex Box for so many years, giving them a free ride to the CWS. LT said that LSU wasn't matched up against MSU in discussions for the bid, but I don't see how it didn't come up though since State beat them 2 of 3. LSU has zero pitching except for Dirks, wouldn't have made it far I don't believe.

They should be in the tourny before State and that is a Fact. I don't care How GreenGoat tries to spin it

If State had gotten to play that 30th sec game we wouldn't be having this discussion of whether or not LSU got screwed because LSU wouldn't have been in the sec tourney.

LT was doing some stuttering and ummm'ing for sure. :lol:

He really couldn't say what did LSU in because MSU was more than likely involved in those discussions, which LT couldn't be included in.

The only thing LSU did was finish a 1/2 game ahead of State in the conference. We had a better overall record, had a higher RPI, and we beat them 2 out or 3. On what grounds do you base that LSU gets in before State?

He saying that because a spot in the sec tourney is supposed to guarantee you a spot in the regionals.

Arkie supposedly screwed themselves out of a regional by going 2 and out, plus losing to UM, whom was supposed to take "their" regional.

Not only a spot in the SEC tourney, but they beat the #1 seed while they were there. I'm sorry they got shafted.

Same thing happened 4 years ago with Florida not making the SEC Tournament, but got an invitation to the NCAA while one of the SEC Tournament teams was left out......refresh my memory as to who was left out that year....

Like I said many times before, LSU has had this coming to them for a long, long time now. Heck, LSU might appreciate this happening because Smoke's probably gone now. :lol:

Ole Miss fans....State getting a bid was just part of Templeton's master plan. Leave LSU out, Smoke gets fired, then Bianco goes to LSU and we don't have Ole Miss making us look bad in baseball anymore......it's payback for the cowbells :lol:

It wasn't MSU that got hosed that season, it was Vandy in 2003. Vandy went 27-28 that season but made the SEC tourney. Fla missed out by a 1/2 game but had a better overall record, thus receiving the regional bid.

gentelmen...

first off just because you make the sec tourney does not necessarilly guarntee you a spot in the ncaa's .. this happened to vandy as has been pointed out..

weird thing about that year was vandy made the sec toruney but their overall record kept them from receiving an at large.. on the flip side uf was the first school from the sec to be left outta the sec toruney yet still be extended an invitation to the ncaa.. anybody remember what uf did when their season ended after the ncaa toruney...

thats right they fired their head coach ,, a guy named lopez. who is now the coach at ariz...

to me if you take state you should take lsu as well.. either way i'll bet pigs to pole cats that neither state nor lsu would-will make much noise..

i look for state to go 1-2 in the ncaa..
