Thoughts on W

Ditto. I never thought I would (not) like W., but he keeps politisizing (word??) the war and making excuses why NOT to bring our boys home. I'm 'bout fed up w/ all his BS. Get them out of there. Those people will always be fighting about something, wheither we're there or not.
Republician or not, get Bush out of da 'house!

Yep, it was a great job of lip service. Why in the hell would you put 6,000 National Guardsmen on the border and not let them be involved in making arrest only to assist?

I have to admit that I did not see the entire speech, but I watched enough to make my blood boil. It is only lip service inspired by an all time low approval rating. The "guest worker" program by its very nature assumes that the people are all working. Go to Southern Cali and see if they are all working. I must be missing something because this issue just does not seem that overly complicated to me. Sure removing the illegals will result in some very large growing pains but they are illegal and we are a country based on law. I am all for people moving to America to pursue their hopes and dreams but do it the right way. Bush is one of the worst presidents ever, even in light of the up hill battles he has had to face.
It think someone suggested this earlier in this thread
W. might not be the best; he sure as hell isn't a public speaker. But, have any of you given consideration to what it might have meant to have the Heinz foundation whispering in the ear of our nations leader? What would Kerry have done better? What could Gore do, he can't walk straight for fear of messing up his hair! I don't think bush is a great all time leader. But, I would rather have a fighter when we need one, than a pandering socialist or a paralized goob.
I hope the next election brings forth some true leadership on both sides of the ilse.
The mexican's are here to stay. They represent a platform for poloticians to run on, and hipocracy to get rid of.
