Turkey Season Totals

Postby deltadukman » Wed May 03, 2006 3:47 pm

Well this is my first year to really turkey hunt serious.

First Bird(ever)
Substandard...we will leave it at that.
It was an accident. He had a full fan and got him confused with the big gobbler.

Second Bird
10 3/4 in. Beard
1 in. spurs
Called him and shot him all on my own.
I've been hunting this bird for 2 years now.

Third bird
9 1/4 in. beard
3/4 in. spurs
It was a team effort.
Killed him this past Sunday.
So I guess you could say I killed 2.5 birds this season.
But it was the best so far.

Post up how your season went this year.

Louisiana Limit 2 birds, 2 birds in MS, didn't get to go to MO this year :x .
It was an absolutely wonderful season, called in numerous birds that I watched the show on and didn't shoot, called two "firsts" in for people, and watched a kid go to pieces on a flock of jakes in a field. So hooked three more people on it, for me a big sucess, now watch out fish!!

#1
11" 1 1/4" spurs 19.5lbs

#2
11" 1 1/8" spurs 16.5lbs

Worst year for hearing gobbles and see gobblers that I have ever had. They weren't lying when they said that we had a bad hatch in 2004. Tuff year but I was able to get two old toms.
