Hoyt all the way, or if you want ta save some money, shoot a Reflex Super Slam before you buy. Reflex is a subsidiary of Hoyt, and are using Hoyt's technology.

While Hoyt and Mathews are both great bows, there are two reasons that I would choose hoyt. First, over the years, while Mathews has put a vast amount of their budget into sponsorship and advertising, Hoyt has devoted substantially more into developing new, better technology (the Tec risers and cam and a half cams are two good examples). Second, Mathews are more likely to have problems requiring repairs than Hoyt, or at least they were several years ago when I was shooting a lot and was around a good many people shooting both brands.

Just my less than humble opinion.

I tried them both and went with the mathews no questions asked. Everybody here has an opinion and will tell you how advanced the technology of there bow is. Try them both and go with the one you shoot the best and are comfortable with.

Be sure to shoot a Bowtech Tribute. I did in late November and ending up buying it. I just couldn't leave the shop without it.

Hoyt all the way. I have shoot the new switchback xt and it isn't the bow I bought. I bought the Hoyt Trykon. The reason I like the Trykon is it faster, just as quiet and is as well made bow as any other. I don't like the Matthew's because they are only using a single bearing on each of their cams with a plastic bearing on the other side. I don't think that it will hold up for the long run....

I bought a Mathews in 1999. Never had a problem out of it and still love it.

I am still shooting my old High Country Excaliber. Went to sell it a couple years ago and my archery expert at the store where I was gonna buy new one told me I was crazy for selling that bow and if I did he wanted it, because there was none out there to compare so I kept it. By the way he sells Hoyt ,PSE, and Matthews . There is my non significant .02$ worth
Since they dont make that bow anymore, from all I have heard from others get the HOYT
