10 or 11 to be exact... :D

Richard Cross said in the postgame that he had asked a State player before the game (not sure who?) who he'd least like to face on the Ole Miss pitching staff, and he said "Will Kline, he is nasty!". I find that hard to believe, as this is the first really decent game he's pitched for Ole Miss...

Gene o's has imploded.

His delete button has been worn out over the last ten minutes.

And what's so funny is the fact that all of it isn't worthy of being 86'd.

Well I'll be damned, ol Bianco may know a thing or two after all.

Will Kline pitched an excellent game. Perhaps he has truly turned the corner into becoming a pitcher we can count on to help us the rest of the season. Just goes to show what I know --not a damned thing.

A quote on quote "hitting" coach is an oxymoron in today's baseball scene. He's just an asst coach that is given the title as hitting coach. He does very little to adjust a player's hitting ability, seen way too many over the yrs that never changed anything from the day they stepped on campus until they left. You've either got it.....or you don't.......you can hit a curve, or you can't. A hitting coach can't do much for kids that can smoke a 90 mph pitcher then whiff at a 75mph flame thrower.

Honest Question......I don't understand why the world is blaming Coach Polk for the recent losing streak. Everyone is giving very general comments, no specifics. Sure we have left a bunch of people on base, but that also means you are getting a ton of people on base. This State team is special, WHEN they put things together, they will do some damage....and we have the best coaches in the country.

Heck, I heard David Kellum bragging the other day about Ole Miss leading the conference in Double Plays......what that tells me is that their pitching staff is allowing a bunch of runners to get on base, and in order to turn a double play, batters have to hit the ball hard.......as soon as their luck runs out and balls start finding the holes.....look out

greenhead, good point and ur right, but also i hitting coach in some sense can do something to get u better, if u can hit a 90+ fb and no cb, then when u get to college and a hittin coach sees that, then throw that some of a bit&^ cbs, cbs, cbs, until he can hit them, over and over again, the same thing happens with people that cant hit something on the outside corner, throw it there and let them learn..........
HONEST TO GOD STORY IT HAPPEN TO ME THIS WEEK
i was throwing bp during our practice and i was throwing outside outside outside(the scouting report we had was that we were goin to face a lefty that threw outside fbs for strikes) after about four pitches one of our kids stopped and looked at me and said coach throw it inside, i said why, he said, cause i cant hit a outside fb, i can hit it when u throwin it inside...............
If it wasn't for bad luck then i would have no luck at all........

It's called taking it the other way.

I prefered pitches from the middle out so I could extend my arms, inside pitches tied me up. Lefties always pitched me inside, reason I switched over and batted lefty on lefty, sounds stupid but I was able to extend my arms and drive it. I defied matchups and percentages.
