Please elaborate on how Polk screwed him over cuz you've got me curious.

gh22.... that's because Parklane = MPSA baseball
jk
but, you have to put teams like parklane and hillcrest up there just about every year, great coaches at both schools, don't pay much attention to the rest of the MPSA much anymroe since i graduated, i know CP had some good teams over the past few years, prep wasn't to bad either last year or the year before, past that, i dont know.

Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....
actually prep is the three time defending state champ, drake slayer correct me if im wrong but i think thats right anyway..........there is always year in and year out the same couple of dominating schools in each classification.........then just like anything else there is always a couple of teams that have been playing with the same starting line up since they were all 10th graders and now their seniors u know.........
if im correct this is the top five in the mpsa right now
1. mag heights
2. central private
3. ja
4. adams christian
5. parklane
hillcrest should also be in there, they are one of the best hitting teams in the state..........
by the way their center fielder is signed with ole miss also........too bad he will never step foot on that beatiful campus in oxford.......

Hillcrest has been great at baseball for as long as I can remember. They are not your "typical" MPSA school anymore. I saw them play JA this year and they resemble a public school team now. I think that is good for the MPSA. I think the center fielder referred to above was their QB or RB on the football team.
satterwhite had the act too.........reed is a transfer from calloway that doesnt have it, and dont look to get it is the word in the mpsa right now...........

I think in the future, although it may be more than a decade away, Mississippi private schools athletically will resemble current Louisiana private schools. You will have schools like JA and Prep in situations similar to Parkview Baptist in Baton Rouge. The schools will not be all white and will play comparable public schools in most, if not all, athletics. Obviously, it will be hard for the little academies like Carroll or Kirk or even smaller schools to compete on any public school level (they will probably stay strictly in the MPSA), but I think that schools like JA and Prep could compete on a 3A or possibly 4A level at some point in the distant future. Parkview Baptist in Baton Rouge is probably roughly the same size as Prep, they have black athletes although they are private and they are superb. They place at least a player or two a year at LSU in football. If they were in the MPSA, they would destroy everyone every year in recent years. I believe they play 4A ball in Louisiana. John Curtis High School in New Orleans and Evangel Christian in Shreveport are also similar schools. Both are nationally ranked year in and year out, both are private, however, both recruit. Recruiting may be the name of the game for academies like JA, Prep, Starkville, MRA, etc... to make the turn to being competitive in public school ball.

Well yes i know it happens to people it's just a shame that that happened because Polk , Raffo whoever promised him something and he turned down a place like Merridean where he would have played and gotten better and so on, any way, Jk Mag height's is by far the best team we've played the first game we did pitch Mooney and he didn't have his A game on but they came out swinging, but really it was only 6 - 2 in the fifth i believe and we brought Mcdowell in and we gave up several un earned runs and they ten runned ruled us that inning or something around there. The second game we threw gay and were up 2 in the fifth running good and he hung a curve ball to their big homerun hitter and it put them up one and that pretty much did it. I would say watch out for pretty much every hitter in their line up haha they all swing it, especially their third or 4 th hitter he's got 10 on the year and their park is huge compared to everybody else's. Also they will play small ball and bunt people over if they need, and squeeze. One thing is there pitchers aren't any thing, mid 70's we just got off balanced and had a bad run of games the past few so we re back just one 15-1 the other night. We really need yall to sweep by the way so if you would do that , that would be good.
As for Reed, I wasn't real impressed when we played him but every body say's he's good so o well. But as for them being good they are good but nothing like they use to be and we should have beat them but that's baseball.

And for Prep yes they got three straight, and they have had a run of luck for three years, heck Bailas or whatever wasn't coming back the first year they won it, they didn't renew his contract and they somehow got in the play offs and won. As for Bailas, he's not coming back next year and this year they are not that great, really young, they have a 9th grader at third , sophmore at short, catcher, two juniors at outfield, so they are young.
