I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the new Polaris 700?

I hunt with a guy that has one, its a bad boy! However, for the money if you are using it for hunting the Sportsman 500 is plenty of bike and will save you a $1000 bucks! Someone told me that Polaris just came out with a new Sportsman 600. It should be a good one to! If you really want answers go to http://www.highlifter.com they got everything you ever wanted to know about any four wheeler.

Yeah, they finally felt sorry for us and gave us a couple days off. We will be down in your neck of the woods starting monday. Got a week long rifle school down at Shaw's. Im looking forward to the break as shooting a gun down in the delta always beats Memphrica!

Thanks for the tip Harley. There are a lot of people there who think differently. I guess it all boils down to your personal preference.

Oakey, a guy at my camp just bought one and I saw it this weekend. Its a powerful machine, some of the fellows at the camp rode it and said it ran 70 mph. I know he left my Honda 300 like it was sitting still.

I have a honda 300 4x4. It has been a great 4-wheeler, but it is a 93 model and I am now starting to spend more money on it than what it is worth. I have a few friends that have new 350 ranchers and have nothing but problems out of them. That is why I was thinking about a Polaris. However, 7 grand is a little pricey. I just wanted to be sure that was what I wanted before I spent that kind of money.

Polaris, Honda -- Ford, Chevy you will never get anyone to agree on a subject like that. Best thing to do would be buy the one YOU like and start ridin'. I own a Polaris 2001 Sportsman 500 and would'nt trade it for anything. The one thing I can say for sure is that the Polaris will run circles around the Honda's in the mud. Polaris is the only bike I know of that is a true 4-wheel drive. All Honda's are limited slip in the front end. This was a big factor when I bought mine, and so far it has paid off. If I can stand (or sit) in it while hunting my Polaris will get me there.

Oakey, get a bike that will suit your needs where you hunt. If you hunt in gumbo mud, go for a lighter bike, like the Rancher 350. I know 5 people that bought one last season and haven't had any probs with them, my dad will be the 6th in a couple of months. The polaris bike to me are way too heavy, and will bottom out. I've got some mudholes that stick a heavy bike, but my timberwolf 250 4X4 will go straight through it.

my Honda foreman 400 4x4 is not too heavy...until I put my hunting partner, my son, 2 dozen dekes, shotguns, backpacks, and a drag a 14 foot jon boat on a pvc sled behind it. 8) Then it's tend to squeeze a little mud out from under it.
