Ole Miss Spring Football
Have they started yet and if so how is the spring progressing? Who is working in at QB? Is Coach O as tight lipped about Ole Miss Spring Ball as many other coaches are around the country? Will the Schaeffer (sp) kid start the first game this fall?

seth adams is the leader i believe right now for hte backup qb role behind schaeffer.......
Coach O is tight lipped about it, practices closed to the public, etc
offense is looking better, o-line especially, kehoe is a step above deleone according to players, we'll have to see how much/if they progress enough for SEC play, BJGE is looking good at tailback
defense is hard to tell...... patrick willis and jamarca sanford (2 of the best players on defense) are both missing spring due to surgery a month or two ago...... and got alot of new guys on the d-line....... younger guys at LB and D-line are having to learn their checks, etc.

Les Miles and my Tigers are having a similar spring. Practice is typically open to the media for 30 minutes to an hour with no viewing of the actual scrimmages. Jamarcus Russell is out for spring ball, therefore Perrilloux and Matt Flynn are running things from the QB position. Reports are that they both look good but it sounds like Flynn is the better of the two. Both of our "starters" at RB are out (Broussard and Vincent). RJ Jackson and Jacob Hester are filling in the roles quite well supposedly. Of course, Keiland Williams will be on campus for summer workouts. From what I hear, the defense is looking really good and the replacements on the D-line and at linebacker should be very solid. I could be wrong, but I think this year's defense will be better than last year. LSU is really deep at every defensive position except linebacker. The offensive line and general offensive consistency will be at the crux of the season.
All in all I still think they are a one to two loss team because of the brutal schedule. They could end up with more losses. I don't see any undefeated team, although they have a lot of talent. The SEC will beat up on each other this year more than in recent years. We will have several good teams (LSU, AU, FL, UGA, maybe Arkansas), no great teams and of course virtually any given weekend someone could be upset.
