Bianco to LSU
Not wanting to get ahead of myself here, but what are the chances? I say he would for sure take it if offered. Just not sure whether LSU is ready to move from Smoke and where they would go if they did. Has to be plenty of good coaches out there that has come from that program. Look at how many MSU has turned out. Cohen up at KY would be a good fit at MSU if changes are ever made.

If and when Polk retires, look for Tommy Raffo to take over as head coach. He's been there way too long at the position he's at for him not to take a shot at getting it.
As for Bianco, he just built a new house, and his family loves it in oxford for whatever reason.
I don't look for him to go to LSU unless some major $$$ is thrown his way, which won't happen since Les Miles is getting all of it.

Bianco will not go to LSU...
1. He makes way more money than Smoke Laval
2. He receives camp money at Ole Miss, Bertman receives 100% of all that at LSU
3. He is 100% in control of all things baseball in Oxford, as long as Bertman is alive his has more control than the head baseball coach at LSU
4. Bianco has young children and Oxford is much better suited for his family situation, he has been quoted as saying that same
5. He is getting the stadium and facilities he's requested, LSU's facilities are very outdated and will be 2008 before new stuff is builit
6. I've heard consistently that Bianco would not work for Bertman due to the control and if you pay attention to college baseball and the two, it's easy to see how independent Bianco is and how Boone gives him whatever he wants and Smoke Laval is Bertman's puppet.
OH, did I mention he makes alot more money than Smoke?

NO WAY THAT RAFO WILL GET THAT JOB he is a good coach but he isnt head coach material, I do believe that MCNIchols is already being groomed for that position. As for little Skip(Bianco) going back to LSU that is highly possible but rumor has it that his wife doesnt want to leave oxford and if mommy aint happy then aint nobody happy

i agree with duckiller, if that was the case, the rafo should have gotten the job last time polk left, but he didnt, if he wants to coach in the sec, he better look otherwise than starkville.............

Luck guys Pol isnt going anywhere for a long long time so why dont we cross this brige when we get there, now getting back to the topic about Bianco and LSU Yes I think eventually he will end up back there but has Smoke been fired yet? but when he is I do believe that little skip(Bianco) will go back b/c LSU has way more $$$$$ to give him than ole miss does. just my .02 worth. Have a good one

I agree with the McNichols part. Tommy Raffo is loyal. He was a good player. Not sure about head coach material. Not real sure about the best hitting instructor part either. I like McNichols (sp?). He was great when I carried my son over to camp. Very positive and coached fundamentals which Polk likes. I believe Cohen will make a good coach wherever he goes and would love to see him as hitting coach for the Bulldogs. I like Raffo, I just like Cohen better. Florida seemed to hit the ball well as does KY now.
Bianco has to want LSU to be his at some time or another. Until last season, he never gave an interview without referring to his days there and the teams he had been involved with. He is a strong recruiter in the LA area and is doing well in Memphis. You throw them Germantown boys into the mix down at Baton Rouge and LSU is on top for sure.....my two cents.

I don't see Bianco heading to BR any time soon. I think the next person in line behind Smoke (who will be gone) is going to be Turtle Thomas. I also think that Skip is about to be gone as the AD. I think he will "retire" within the next two years. I have no inside info, just a hunch. Skip's legacy can only be hurt by remaining the AD. I personally feel like his legacy has been damaged since becoming the AD.
By the way, if any of you ever want to listen to the local sports shows in Baton Rouge, whether you love or hate LSU, you can stream the shows online at http://www.thescore1210.com. Buddy Songy (12:00-2:00) and Jimmy Ott (4:00-6:00) are the two main guys. The rest of the time is filled with ESPN radio or Jim Rome in the afternoons between Songy and Ott.

A hitting coach in baseball today is pretty much a big joke.
98.5% of the kids that come into college use the same stance and hitting techniques, rarely will they change their plate appearance and aggressiveness.
Look what group of kids is carrying us right now........Florida kids. Who has the Fla connection..........Raffo. Without Raffo we get none of these kids. I just don't see Raffo staying as an asst coach with Polk leaves, been at state going on 16 yrs now. I really don't want to see Raffo as head coach, but it very well may happen.
McNickle may be the man, just not sure right now. I do know his new technique of warming down pitchers after day to day pitching is pretty awesome.
And another thing, Polk will never be AD, doesn't want the headache of being one. He's learned from talking to Skip over the yrs that it can be a major pain in booty.

i don't understand why you feel that way!!!
