in the National Rifle Association for a 3 year tour to kick some anti-gun ownership butts. My gun`s worst enemies are rust and antis and I`ll fight them both.

I just re-enlisted

Postby Don Miller » Fri Aug 02, 2002 2:38 pm

I didn't re-enlist. I got tired of all of the phone calls telling me who I need to vote for (always a Republican candidate) and all of those damn surveys to fill out. In my opinion, the NRA is just like PETA to the other extreme. Yes, we need someone to stand up for our rights but I just got tired of all of their BS. I had to send them a letter, putting them on my DO NOT CALL LIST to keep them from calling me at supper time every other night. Maybe your membership will go to help pay for their phone bill and mailing expenses. Yes, I think that NRA does help our cause as gun owning sportsman, but I just got tired of listening to all of their BS propaganda. Quote NRA telemarketer "Did you know that Al Gore, if elected president, will see to it that all registared guns will be rounded up and destroyed?" I hope you like junk mail and phone surveys at supper time. By the way I voted for Bush, but I don't need some telemarketer using dimwitted scare tactics telling me how to vote. JUST MY 2 CENTS ABOUT NRA.
