stang67 my initials are JC, pm me so I know who you are.

Softcall do you duck hunt on your land, if so I got a stand right across the bayou from you. Close enough I can hear yall calling. Scares the crap out of me in the morning sometimes (the first shot that is). :shock:

Chap we did better this year than we ever have, 78% of our bucks this year were 3.5 or older. We had four 2.5 year olds killed and by looking at my cuddeback we still have some excellent deer running around. I have several 16"-17" bucks on camera that I believe are 3.5 that made it. I am excited about next year.

Yes, that makes a big difference.. We had a good year, but not as good as it could have been.. Seems like we really see some great bucks when we have a little water on us.. I killed 2 this year that were 18'' and saw some some young bucks that had some great potential.. ATCO cut a good bit of timber on us the last few years so we are adding some great habitat.. Hopefully next year will be another good one.. Do you hunt on Butz?

Naw Chap, I hunt on Atwood just north of you and on the other side of steele.

peewee, that is probably some buds of mine that hunt Jones Lake right next door. I used to hunt there a pretty good bit with them, nice little cypress brake.
