rod barnes.. coachin for his life..
thats the way i see it.. if he can beat starkvegas sat night.. then that would give him 15 wins and ensure him of a non-losing record..
not sure who um has left.. but if he wins 16 that should get him into the nit...
his best bet to make the nit is to beat msu on sat night... should be an old fashioned barn burner that comes right down to the end...
i predict that um will win by 1..

Photoshop, keep your kickin chickin.
I was not dissing your dogs. Rhoades is quite a player and talent. I don't think anyone else on the floor for the Dogs is much better than their Reb counterpart. Dogs should be favored at home and have traditionally been a tough game for the Rebs, even when the Rebs were more talented.
I am so excited about his upcoming game, that I plan not to watch or listen to the game.
I was only suggesting that, half in jest and half not, that Stans would be better off losing this game in the long run if it somehow saved Rod's job.

B-ball
I think it will be a fun game to watch and at this point it is really for pride more than anything.Since I have typed some smack the rebs will win by 50 points. The thing that kills us is no point guard and if we can,t get the ball up the floor it don,t matter who is under the basket. All that being said I like original recipiet with taters and gravey.

Photo, how about some Minter City Grocery chicken and a forty from Habib?
Big win for the Dogs. Not unexpected, except for the victory margin. Barring a miracle, that should about do it for Rod.
But before any MSU, Bama, or Arkansas fans get too high and mighty on this forum about their school's basketball prowess, just remember ---each lost to a Rod Barnes coached Ole Miss team this seaon. Ohhhhh, the shame of it all.

Don't lump Bama into that group of suckiness.
That game was a wash.

Ole Miss AD noncommital on Barnes' return
By Robbie Neiswanger
rneiswanger@clarionledger.com
OXFORD — Ole Miss athletic director Pete Boone wouldn't say today whether men's basketball coach Rod Barnes will return for
his ninth season in 2006-07.
Boone took a non-committal stance regarding Barnes’
future in an interview today, saying he didn’t want to pronounce anything that could fuel speculation. Boone said Barnes’ eighth season hasn’t met expectations, but, with four regular-season games and the Southeastern Conference Tournament remaining, doesn't believe “a mind should be made up until the season is over."
“The only thing I really want to say about it is that certainly this has
been a disappointing year,†Boone said. “Coach Barnes had talked about that several weeks ago. But we’ve got the season left to do. As I should do and as I think anybody should do, you let seasons play themselves out and then you evaluate. You sit down with coach and you discuss the evaluation of that and that’s what we plan to do.â€
Ole Miss, which plays at Kentucky Wednesday, has a 14-11 overall record but is 4-8 in SEC play. The Rebels opened SEC play 3-0 but have lost eight of their last nine, including Saturday's 84-55 loss at Mississippi State.
Barnes' teams have won 141 games and lost 104 in his Ole Miss tenure. He is four wins shy of equaling the school record for coaching wins held by B.L. “Country†Graham.
The Rebels finished below .500 each of the last three seasons.
