New Club - Memberships Available

Postby Micah » Wed Jul 31, 2002 2:04 pm

We're putting together a club on ~2,000 acres in the Doddsville/Schlater area. I've hunted this land for several years, and it's some of the finest hunting around. The property includes flooded fields, oxbow lakes, a cypress brake, and river hunting for when it freezes. The camp is located within 20 minutes of all hunting and within walking distance of two blinds.

Memberships will be $5,000. This includes 2 guns per membership. Please contact me at webmaster@msducks.com if you are interested.

Thanks,
Micah Walker

We will have a total of 12 guns hunting 10+ blinds. Four guns per blind gives us at least two days of rest between hunts in a given blind.

Lodging is included as well. All in all, I don't think it's a bad deal for what you're getting compared to the price folks are paying for a single blind.

What do you guys think, is this unrealistic?

Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.

Micha, Our duck club still has a few memberships to fill. I think most everyone is waiting to see if we will get 45 or 60 days. There are people out there that would like to join a club, but will wait to see if we get a long season before they join. I have heard rumors that Arkansas will get 60 days. Just a rumor though, keep your fingers crossed. Your club is in a good area. My family used to own what is now Fighting Bayou Hunting Club. I got spoiled on good hunting as a kid. Good Luck!

Just got word that Louisiana is getting a 60 day season. Came from a source inside of there wildlife department. If they along with Arkansas get 60 days then by damm we should too. if we do not i will take a hard look at who i vote for to represent my state.
