Well Gator if you got a dog named Rowdy you may have to say HEEL,HEEL, BAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK,COMEHEREYOUSONEOFAKDKGHEKFJFJKDJDHEAR, Kennel up.
Just joking. You know it would almost be worth the trip to see Goose and Rowdy work.

got a few more for ya'll to answer...does my dog have to be registered or sumthin w/ ukc to run in one of their hunt test...he's akc registerd but not ukc, and he's 100% american so i don't know if he can get a ukc 'card' like big lou was referring to...like i say, i'm new to this and i also just might have mistaken what he's referring to...also is there a time frame for getting his hips and eyes certified...i've heard the only place to do the eyes is in b'ham and hips you can get done in starkville....any thoughts

A membership to HRC national will save you money when you enter a dog (they charge a 3 buck fee for non hrc members) and ya git a swanky Hunting Retreiver magazine subscription, thats worth joining for it alone.
Any dog with akc papers and a check for $25 can be ukc registered in bout 5 minutes.Copy of yur pedigree from akc and fill out a form, and yur check and bam, yur registered. UKC is the registering body for HRC (hrc is an all volunteer organization (cept for claudine) that is responbile for the hunt test program), and ukc is the organzation that tracks points and titles. UKC is the world largest HUNTING dog registrey, they dont register fi-fee dogs and all that crap. When you register yur dog, you will recive an hrc pedigree. Which is intresting cause yur akc papers dont show ukc titles and vice versy.
Bobby, I know yur joking bout watching me & rowdy. Rumor is, ya been trying to peddle tickets. Won't need suphha sat night, figger I'll be full from eating ya'll's finished test up! bwhahahahahaha.

Gator your dogs does not have to be UKC registered to run however if he passes he will not get any points toward a UKC championship. You will have 60 days after he passes to get him registered or you will lose those points. You can get papers at the hunt test sign in table or if you come to ALABAMA's hunt see me and I will fix you up.

I got to see Sadie and Stormy train this past Saturday and they both looked as though they were doing well.
We had a HECK of a test set up. I was out training with Ronnie, Johnny Barlow, and Jesse Sheppard. I was hanging with a crew.
Seriously, if I remember correctly, Sadie run good on an: angle entry, across two points, through a channel, up on land, and up a hill @ about 100 yards total. This was followed by three marks where the first bird got no splash (AKC Stuff). It was a tough setup.
Stormy was retrieving as fast as Ronnie could throw bumpers, steady though.
Thought I'd let ya know, I know I'd want to.
Make sure and come to Old Hatchie for your BATH!!!!
