what a sucky year in sports for ms. teams

Postby bigwater » Wed Feb 15, 2006 9:14 am

damn were terrible... football the big three sucked.. bad

basketball you could take players from all of the big three and we'd still suck worse than getting skunked while hunting flying turd squadrons in southeast miss..

baseball... well at least well be decent at that, but most of the nation could give a rats arsse less about college baseball...

this is the worst its been in a long time..

however we did have a hell of a duck season.. to a man i'd prefer havin a jam up good duck season over a chitty year in sports anytime

Ditto. The duck season was my only consolation --kept my mind off of the misery and increased my apathy for UM sports.

I agree. This season has been the worst in my memory with respect to all three schools in the big two sports ---football and basketball. Barring a miraculous turnaround, it is doubtful that USM, MSU, or UM will even make the NIT tourney. That is pretty damned bad.

College SEC Baseball this year should be interesting and is perhaps my favorite relaxation sport. I enjoy winning, but do not lose my religion when we don't. And, the atomosphere at the games is, for the most part, very relaxed, with intermittent periods of drama/intensity. Enjoying a good cold beer with some BBQ in the outfield, while soaking up some rays on a lazy Sat. or Sunday afternoon is good for the old blood pressure. Looking forward to getting it started and some warmer weather.

I'm not sure that the past football season and the current basketball season could SUCK any worse than it did or now does.

Unfreaking believable with respect to basketball in this state this year. Just when you think that the Reb basketball program has bottomed out, we sink to even further depths than thought possible. The MSU team that appeared to be turning the corner after the big win over the Rebs, lost to Auburn. Oh my. And USM barely has a pulse.

Thank God for duck hunting, deer hunting, and college baseball.

This rant brought to you by an embarassed, down trodden, beaten, tail between his legs, humbled, lowly, cellar dwelling, wannabe champion Ole Miss Rebel fan who has earned enough character this sports year to last at least another decade. I am reduced to getting excited about football recruiting and spring training ---pitiful.
