Arkabutla Spillway

Postby Dutch Dog » Thu Feb 09, 2006 1:25 pm

Does anyone know if they are running any water through the spillway? I generally try to catch a mess or two about this time of year and seems as if they were working on it the last time I was down there. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Dutch, they opened her up last Friday 1500cfs, and Sunday went 4300cfs. I checked it today and its 5100cfs. That's a little strong, but not impossible to catch a few.

I use this link to check the discharge at all the N MS resevoirs.

They turned her back on this past Friday... Opened at 1500 cfs, 2500 cfs Saturday and opened further Sunday to 4300 cfs. Elbow Creek should be just about right. Better get there early!!! :D

P.S. Don't keep any that are hooked in the back...Mr. Green Jeans will be watching.

Thanks, guys...we generally catch em (seriously CATCH them..not jerk em) at night. Misty, cold nights are good because it keeps most folks away. Pink and white works best and keep the hooks straight.
