Does anyone know when they are going to phase out the Loran signal?

Probably when GPS technology improves until it can be done cheaper that way.

I love Loran & I doubt them fishermen in the sea want to depend on Unlce Sam for much and will keep buying them.

I got a book and inch thick of offshore Loran Numbers.

That used to be the thing in airplanes too. But GPS is replacing it quickly.

I read somewhere recently that they (whoever "they" is) were going to phase out the Loran signals by a certain date. I just wondered 1) is that true; and 2) when is the phase out date?
