I really don't feel like beating this poor old tired horse anymore but...

"screw their right to freedom of expression"

Now there's one I will admit I don't get. Is that what this thing is about? You're actually telling me you don't want freedom of expression in order to protect something you don't agree with?
I mean somehow you're talking about condoms in school and abstanance?
Now you don't want me or anyone else to have freedom of expression?
What the holy heck is that all about? I mean you actaully want our rights that people died for stripped from us so people have to pay a guide to find a hole for them?
Man I admit I guess I don't get it and don't want it when you start bashing the very fabric of this great nation.

Hey DY, off the topic of the moment for just a minute, I meant to ask you this last night. Your sign off message is pray for 3/30... I could only assume by that you think what a lot of people think that short seasons & limits would run off a lot of people. Perhaps you are wanting something else, but Im guessing its refering to what most refer to on that (cant imagine anyone asking for a shorter season if they didnt see the benefit somewhere else).

Now.. Im aint trying to be arguementive, but last night, I was supposedly wrong for not wanting info spread to the masses, to encourage them to hunt... Yet wouldnt wanting a shorter season for the same end goal not be far off that? Actually, wanting the season cut that drasticly would effect everyone, for your benefit (your frame of mind in being less hunters). Now like i said, I want to know why its that different. Im happy as a clam our season is going down, and the stock market is in the tubes. If bean prices would triple, Id dance neckade, cause I know things would be coming full circle. Explain to me how its different, ifn ya dont mind. travis

Ole Goosce does tend to come at things from a different angle from time to time :::grin:::

I gathered from his post is that he and alot of other including my-self think that if your gonna hunt public you need to spend a few hunts or days out there finding those spots not passing out flyers or broadcasting all over the net places and gps cordnates of the few good spots remaining that the we have to hunt here. Look at the new WMA permits in Arkie, that was from local hunters fussing and complaining about yaahoo's crowding the spots they live close too and consider in part thiers I don't agree with the booty's who run up in someones spred cussing about how thats their hole, we all know its not. But heck how would there ever be a Honey Hole on public ground if some booty is nice enough to take photos, gps numbers and post them all up good for everybody to crowd in there and never have good time.
Thats always been one of the most rewarding parts of Hunting, to be able to go out find the game search out the good spots and have a great hunt. Maybe thats a thing of the past? I don't think any of my most favorite hunts would have been much of anything had I not had some of those suck booty days in search of that little spot that them ole ducks can't stand and just lock up and fall in on kinda what its all about to me. Like one of those things you worked so hard to get, what ever it may have been and you finally got it. I alway really appreciated those things a whole lot more than somthing sombody gave me?

Wheres my paddle!! :::Snicker::::

Well no way do I think you're not trying to be argumentitive.
1st I'd like to see it for the ducks
2nd I'd like to see it chase off alot of the people who hunt because it's the in thing to do.
I don't like the way public hunting is going, I don't like where technology is taking hunting either, hell I said some is good some is bad but it is what it is and it's doing what it was meant to do create less work good or bad. But of all this I like the fact even less that when someone posts on here something a few people don't like it gets booted. I mean I don't know if it was SPAM you don't either no one does. So since some people don't like it it's gone period move on. Well I think that's $#!+.
I wanted to know the difference between a guide and the website, but no one wanted to argue that because they can't. So instead we turn it into "this is what a real hunter is" and pretty soon the sheep start gathering and flock mentality takes over. That's when it gets good, I get the "oh yeah" or "says you"
I mean at the rate this site is going there will be no duck hunters left just a bunch of sheep. bahbahbah

Goose you mind if I have a shot at that since I’m all for the 3/30 as well.
You see each and everyone of us have values and each base our opinion on this value.
In my way of thinking I hunt almost everyday of the season with only a few breaks in the mix.
I like having Christmas off a 3/30 will normally be closed on that day. I also like the fact that I’m not off of work for 8 weeks and will have time to take off during the summer. I also buy less supplies and I’m away from home less during a 3/30.
It helps to reduce the weekend warriors, hardcore will still hunt. There will be less leases and the prices will be reduced simply because of demand . Killing three birds a day is enough for any person there is no need for more. I have heard all the crap about not stockpiling and I don’t buy it.
Granted that this is only my opinion but that is all I’m giving. Not everyone hold the same value.
I could simply not go as much but once the season opens I’m addicted to the sport and just can’t get enough. So that is not an option I know I can stick with.
When they give me 3/30 4/45 6/60 I'll be hunting them. but my rather is 3/30

I was just wondering who are the sheep :::BIGGRIN::: Jeeevees this topic is hard to follow guides, websites, freedom of speech, now sheep....... I would have to think at least a guide would possibly show a few the how too's of a hunt making the extra crowding a little more tolerable vs slick Rick with a treasure map setting up 50 yards down wind 30 min after shooting hours with four cases of shells.
I also don't like guideing on public ground ethier with all the new hunting clubs and casinos grabbing up land fast as they can. Luckly I do have private stuff to hunt and possibly being able to bribe Travis with some dip for a hunt or two. Kinda like midsouth outdoors I watch that now to figuer out where the heck not to go fishing or hunting they is "MASS CUMUNICATIN" the Hot Spots :::sigh::::

How did we know that the mere mention of sheep would bring GH22 into this conversation? Sorry, man! Someone had to say it! How are things in God's country, GH22?

I'll give up on this 10,000 acres of private land and get my GPS out and go hunt public land now.

I'm with Delta I think I will give up all the places that I hunt now and know that I'll have success to go to a GPS site in North East Mississippi.

That's the ticket, Lets get Micah to open a page on the forum for GPS coordinates. We can post all the places that we know are worthless and post them up. Then when our friends that are coming because of the post (like many here feel they will) they will go to the places that have none. Soon they will say there are no ducks in Mississippi and won't come back. Yeah that's the ticket, We'll fool all those out of staters.

I'm really sorry I ever posted on this thread to begin with.
