Point #1: If something is unacceptible....(even thought it may be 'legal').....don't tolerate it. Hell, it's 'legal' for school systems to distribute condoms to teenagers in an effort to reduce the exposure to 'aids' OR prevent teenage pregnancy. Do ya'll see anything wrong with that? If you don't.....then "you don't get it!".....(and probably never WILL). Are you gonna let your kids get in line for free condoms?......or promote abstainence?

Folks just need to be accountable. If you remove the negative consequences of a particular action, then there's no risk and perty-soon, folks start trying to justify everything you once believed was 'WRONG'.

Point #2: Spilling your guts about public hunting spots is something we shouldn't tolerate......not in Mississippi, not on this website, not NOWHERE...(if you really give a DAMN about your duck hunting heritage)! Screw their right to freedom of expression!.......I don't want to hear what they got to say anyway.

Point #3: When somebody says or DOES something that threatens our duck hunting heritage.......you need to have the balls to at least TRY to suppress the source. Granted, there are different ways to deal with threats to our 'sport'........but 'JB' yankin' that thread works for ME. I appluad him for having the GOOD SENSE to recognize and TAKE ACTION against that 'threat'. ('JB'....you put that thread back up and you ain't NEVER seen so much grief on this board, YET!) Just cause it's 'legal' don't mean it represents what the majority of the 'Waterfowlers' that call this site, home.....believe is BEST for our STATE. If we ain't smart enough to realize the same thing that happened to Arkansas' public hunting, can happen to us, then those that don't give a DAMN, deserve what they get........PREGNANT!!

My 'plate' ain't big enough to hold a single helpin' of everything that ya'll have loaded this table with.

Ant, you are wrong, this has nothing to do with condoms in school, this was a guy trying to be helpful and you and goose and several others desided to jump on a ban wagon and slam him. If anybody wanted to find out about public hunting all they had to do was do a search about it and they would have found the site, just like I did and probably just like that guy did. He also found his way to our site. And yes I said our sight, It belongs to every one who finds it on the net, and decides to join and post.

All ya'll did was show you ass and run off a new member, hope your happy. That was really being a true duck hunter. Man I am so proud to be able to say I associate myself with ya'll.

What we'll ALL need, though (one day), is a place to escape from the 'clueless masses' that think duck hunting needs 'improvements' and think it can be 'improved' with 'STUFF'.

I don't take offense at your statement......this is not a personal attack on anyone......it's just the way I feel and what I believe is 'RIGHT'.

You are correct.....it's OUR website, and part of OUR responsibility to OUR hunting HERITAGE is to 'steer' people away from what they think 'duck hunting' needs to BECOME, in order to 'keep-up' with the latest technological 'advancements'. WHY SHOULD IT? Duck hunting has never needed FIXIN', until now......because you got folks out there trying to make it more accessible.

What the HELL is THAT gonna get ANY of us, but pissed-off, when we realize we coulda prevented this and just continued to go along with what everybody else was doing, 'cause it was EASIER.....and we didn't want to ruffle anyone's feathers over it. It is not about the content of the post that the "newby" linked, I am upset because the way the members of our board treated him. How do yo know that was not a 15 yr old boy who did not have a father and was wanting to get into duck hunting, well guess what if it was he will be the one person who is instrimental in having hunting banned because all duck hunters is his opinion or ass holes. and trust me you might not think that is what ya'll acted like but I have never seen any body fill the boot like ya'll did.

Trey, I did NOT direct any comments toward the guy.......I was merely reacting to the dialog among other 'posters' regarding the 'state' of duck hunting.

I agree that we ALL need to set better examples for youth (especially how we conduct ourselves......but folks can't learn anything if you don't get their attention, first....not by acting the 'fool'....but by teaching them something that might shape their OWN views and hopefully an appreciation of the 'sport'......something few people seem to have, thesedays.

I made a big mistake (like you're talkin' about), once. When I first started posting, there was a guy that posted "Limit in one shot"....about water-swattin' a limit o' teal. Man, I lit into the guy......then realized how WRONG that was, cause he may have been a youth and just didn't know you didn't go around tellin' everybody about something everybody ON HERE has done at one time or another.

I tried to e-mail him to apologize for what I said.......that he was a "disgrace to waterfowlers". Man, I felt terrible for saying something like that to what never occured to me at the time......that this may have been a young duck hunter......(I can only guess he was a kid).

So now, I live with the fact that he probably thinks every duck hunter is just as big a 'hole' as I was, that day. So, I'm real careful not to make that same mistake. [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]

You're kinda new, here.......you'll probably learn more about personalities than you will about duck hunting for awhile (especially while it's 'slow'), but you'll eventually learn how to 'wade' thru the muck and get to the useful info. Did you not notice how it included local resturants and hotels? Wow, they are a little easier to find in a search engine than secret duck holes, but since they provide the cheese to dis whiz, they got a big hokey mention didnt they. The message was commerical and anonomous by nature, which both reek of spam. But yur so caught up in group hugs, your worried we hurt someones feelings. Why aint he posted today?
