OK anti-spinner users..why not?

In the interest of reciprocity..it is only fair to pose this question..and, I AM interested in opinions and/or any science available to back up your position.

Why, to me because me personally as a duck hunter I go to watch ducks work, to hear the whistling of the wings, to hear the ducks quack, the smells of the hunt, the joking around this for me is what I go for. I want to try and match wits with a duck. Me try to outsmart ducks working to my spread. I don't want to do things that I feel are cheating. I feel the robo duck is cheating. Just as people that went before us decided that market hunting was cheating that sunken water blinds were cheating (blinds that sit in the water but meet flush with the water's surface). I feel that the robo is cheating. Then when everyone else uses these machines to attract ducks that normally they wouldn't shoot it just makes me shooting ducks more difficult. Beause since more ducks are being shot at, more ducks become wary quicker and more ducks become harder to work and work close that would be in a normal year. This is just one of the many reasons that I feel I don't like the duck. I feel that the argument well what about boats, trucks, ATV's, all that well that doesnt' control how ducks work, it just controls how I get to the ducks to work them. I feel the moto is just not ethical, if I can't put it into words why I'm sorry, but I just don't think it's ethical and I don't like it.

I'm a don't really care, non spinner user. But what I want to know is this: How many anti-spinner folks have used one?

I challenge Duckmen, Benny, whoever, to use the damn thing just to see what in the heck happens. I'm tempted to get one and try it just so I can have some educated opinions on the subject. If you haven't used one how much can you really say about it? Since I don't own one I usually stay out of this mess.

The main reason that I don't like these things is this. With decoys, calls, blinds, camo, dogs, whatever, the actual hunter himself can mess up. Human error if you will. It's just you trying to outsmart the ducks, and only one of you can win. But with a robo it's different. It doesn't matter where you throw your decoys, what your calling sounds like, nor what your blind looks like. It's just flip the switch and shoot. Ducks aren't looking around for a blind or paying any attention to the sounds they hear(if the half way sound like a duck). They are focused on that "duck" that they see "landing" and that's it. When ducks land, they use other ducks in the air to gauge how close they are to actually hitting the water, since they have no depth perception. That is why you probably see ducks come piling in, practically landing on the spinner, and the freak out, cause the damn thing they thought was landing just ain't landing. It's kinda like playing softball. One team uses a regular ball, the other uses a regular ball, only they baked it in the oven. Yeah, it's still a softball, but you can jack that baby a LOT farther than you can that regular, legal one. It just takes the sport out of it.

You used to could put a softball in a microwave for a couple of minutes and get that core hard as rock. Does not work as well with the new ones, so I am told [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Electronics are evil, and not necessary to kill a duck.
