"I like the caoching staff at Ole Miss and the new facility is one of the best in the country. I like what is happening at Ole Miss and want to be a part of it," said Elliott.
Elliott became the fourth commitment for 2007, joining South Panola LB Chris Strong, Trinity Episcopal Day School RB/LB Stevan Ridley and South Panola FB Jeramie Griffin on the quickly-growing list.
This is freaking amazing, especially on the heels of a 3-8 season and a season ending skull dragging by our in-state rival. If anyone is still laughing at Coach O, they are a fool. Coach O is a recruiting machine. Many thought his recruiting success at USC was just the fact that USC attracts great players. But, he is showing that he can recruit well anywhere. He never stops recruiting. As an example, he has already visited 200 high schools in Georgia in preparation for the 2007 recruiting class and beyond ---establishing ties with the high school coaches. Expect to see more quality players from the states of GA and FL on next years signing day list. Once he puts together 2-3 straight recruiting classes like this years' class, the Rebs will make some noise. Hopefully, Coach O can turn this talent into wins on the field. IMO, his recruiting prowess is no longer a question. His on-field coaching performance remains a question and will ultimately determine his success or failure at UM. I'm betting he succeeds. Mark my words, the Rebs will get the last laugh.
