Whistling Wings
Has anybody else been watching the new waterfowl show on the Outdoor Channel? Watched it last night and they were hunting in the delta. It was great to watch so many birds and so many varieties working in to the decoys. Made me drool with anticipation. If you haven't seen it, it comes on on Tuesday night at 9:30 edst, and I think on Thursday and Saturday. Not sure of the times on those days. If you haven't seen it, tune in. It's great!!! I laughed a lot too, but then remembered a couple of trips I made this past year that weren't pretty. I was glads to see the producers of the show not edit the misses. I think it showed that the sport isn't all about killing, its more about being in the outdoors with friends and family and enjoying God's creation. I'm glad to see Mossy Oak put together a show of just waterfowling. It's kind of agrivating to have to sit thru some stupid caribou stalking (like shooting cows in a pasture) to see 2 minutes of waterfowling. Way to go who ever is responsible!!

It was on the Outdoor Channel (cable). Saw it while I was visiting my Mom in Louisville last week. Got the fever, man!

mississippi_duc_htr - I am glad to know that I am not the only one that knows what Gold Fever is. People think we are crazy for putting our marriages and jobs on the line for a bunch of silly ducks. These guys go AWOL for a few specs of gold in their "sniffer" bottles.
I told my wife I wasn't fanatical. She watched 5 minutes of Gold Fever with me and she somewhat agrees. "Honey....I could be out doing that...." Try it, it will get your spouse off of your case.

Oh - and try OLN. The Outdoor Life Network. All they show is friggin bike racing. Give me a break - when did the tour de france and duck hunting start to fall into the same category?
What's the schedule for the WW show?

Enjoy the show muchly. Those ole boys last week couldn't shoot worth a beaver dam. My grand daughter can shoot better than that. Glad to have the show each Tuesday night on the Outdoor channel.

DU tv has sucked since the second season, no big surpirse there. But that show with the sea ducks in WA, thats a friend of mine that did that show and Id love to have a tape of it if anyone taped it. I dont get OLN so I havent gotten to see it. Just saw on the info guide bout WW, and was wondering if its new stuff, or just the footage from there new video (ww7 is out now). Ya know, in the past, all the footage they've shown is from their videos, and why watch a weekly show and all those commericals, if you can spend 10 bucks and see a seasons worth at once... They still have the best video series going, either way. travis

Anyone get it on DirecTV?
Watched the DU show Sunday am before church and was somewhat dissapointed. ten-fifteen min of quail hunting in GA and other ten of sea ducks in WA.
Where's the MS ducks? or even doves. That would bring some drool for sure!

You can't get the outdoor channel on directv. I called yesterday and set it up to have my directv replaced with dish network just for that reason.

I watched Whistling Wings last night and vicariously enjoyed a good stubble field shoot on some Canada geese. They also had a segment on Delta Waterfowl and what they do. Several months ago, a bunch of Jackson-area guys were trying to start a DW chapter. Did anything ever come of that?
