Mississippi Delta Hunts

Postby dchunter » Wed Jan 25, 2006 1:18 pm

Just got back from Mississippi after hunting with Steve Prather and Mississippi Delta Hunts. Not trying to advertise for him just wanted to thank him again for another good hunt. Saturday was a little slow but Sunday we limited out. I really enjoy hunting with Steve and the other guides he has. If you are looking for a good hunt with some good ole boys I definetly recomend Mississippi Delta Hunts.
Thanks,
again

Hey guys dont be pissed that we are coming down and killing some of your birds. According to the guides somebody's got to kill them cause yall sure cant. Hell one of you boys from right there in mississippi shot 2 and half boxes of shells and still aint cut the first feather. Dont worry we will be back to work on the population again next year. By the way if them birds were released they must raise everything because we killed about 7different types of birds. Keep sending them and will keep wacking them.

dchunter, glad y'all had a good hunt! With a mouth like yours, no small wonder you have to pay for hunts in MS instead of hunting private land with a few new buddies! Nothing wrong with guided, mind you, I do it around the world quite a bit myself, but have been fortunate in making friends nationwide with whom to enjoy many memorable - and free - hunts too.

double r2 I didnt start it. I just posted that we had a good hunt and of course since we are not from Mississippi I quickly got bashed. If you are talking about me not being friendly then you need to open your eyes about what is posted almost everyday on this site about OOS'ers. You may not be included in this but it seems to be the main topic most days. As far as friends we have met a bunch of nice people. I have tried to get to meet some of you and go on a hunt but everytime I ask I get a reply such as "might as well give dchunter a gps with the coordinates to your favorite hole" but Im the one not being friendly. Sorry but I dont think so.

maybe you need to look at the way you write. You took offense when it was clear we are playing with you. notice you've been around before then you know full well aint no one excused from getting messed with.

Why do you come here then?

BTW
There are quite a few OOS hunters that we welcome its all in how you present yourself.

Tunica, we come to MS for the ducks. DC & myself both being from NC grew up duck hunting and love it with a passion. But NC is not exactly a duck haven. We can see more birds there in a day than we can see here in a whole season ( I'm not kidding). For you guys that like killin' ducks be thankful that you live in MS because 2 or 3 hunts in NC and you'd sell out.
Also we tried hunting public land 6-7 yrs in a row with no luck. We posted several times trying to get someone to help us out, we diden't need gps cordinates just send us in a general direction. But all we got was smart-!$# comments. Maybe DC was getting played with but it seemed like you guys hated OOSer's.

drakeboy hey
i understand public hunting...I've been asking for years for holes and gps and I aint got any either so it just OOS... that get left out.

LOOK most on here dont hate anyone except the first wife. You have to have thick skin is all. Anyone with just a couple of posts or so aint going to get anyhelp.

If I was to drive 500 miles I'd have a guided hunt too for sure.

Your welcomed around here buddy just dont show about before the season and expect anyone to think your a old buddy. hang around in the off season too.

I'm not anti-OOSer because I'm often one myself, even in your fine state...

Public hunting, as many of us natives grew up doing, has become increasingly tough over the past few years. In addition to other Mississippians, friends, inlaws and family with which we compete to hunt a prized location, an overwhelming amount of OOSers are showing up in record number. Not that there's anything wrong with that, because it is in fact public, but hey - c'mon - you know how it is!

Hey tunica I will trade a few flounder fishing trips for a few good duck hunts. That is if you like to fish.
