Pre-Christmas I'd give a two. Post Christmas, a nine. I don't know if I will ever see and kill pintails like I did this year.

0 rating for the number of ducks I've killed since that's only one duck and one goose and been twenty plus times. But I have to rate the overall season at 10+ because of my health which allows me to go time after time, my friends that go with me and endure all the hardships without reward, my patient lab which I hope remembers what it's like to retrieve a real duck, the great sunrises and sunsets, and all the many blessings I have been given.

7.1.

I've had years when I've killed more waterfowl, but I've enjoyed the heck out of this season!

A 10 just like all the rest of the seasons. However, there were more "pears" this year.

The experience of the season was a 9 (didn't get to go enough for a 10)...we had this one mornin' where we must of had 250 mallards on the water before shootin' time....they were partyin' up a blue streak all around the blind...call me a bird watcher but that was fun as hell......

3 as for the duck part of the season...a solid 3 (last year was a 4)...been goin' downhill since 99-00...not sure if I'm gonna be huntin' the same place next year at this point (at the very least gonna seek out somewhere else to chase the little boogers)....

I still love hunting 'em...but maybe I need a change of scenery....

Definitely a 9 with 5 canvasbacks, a couple of pintails, and a banded woody have made it a wonderful season. I believe I will try again in the morning and this weekend.

I look at this season like dry humping. Something happened, but it sure as hell wasn't what I wanted.
