Sneak Boat or Canoe?
I need some adivce, I will be using it in swamps and small rivers. As far as motors I'm just thinking about a trolling motor. I will need to be able to carry into places and it needs to be able to handle 2 pretty good size boys. I'm looking for the most versatile boat I can get, price is also a concern.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have two Scott Canoe 12' Feathers. The fiberglass model weights 57 lbs and has a 673 pound capacity. I’ve had two men, a dog, guns & gear in it many times.

I have the bobcat mag I.
If it can hold me, shallow grave, and gear (thats about 450lbs plus gear), it can hold you.

No... they got destroyed.
I know they were trying to make a few out of Ron's backyard in Slidell, but they are pretty much toast.
Hopefully they will try to rebuild.
I hate to hear that. I looked at his website and e-mailed him about the "Copperhead" model. My 12' canoe is great for two people but does not steer well with one and I liked the lighter weight of the 40 lb Copperhead. I did not hear back from him and understand why now. Any other suggestions?
Hello guys,
Newbie here and this is my first post on the boards.
I have been looking at pirogues, canoes, layout boats, etc.. for about two weeks now. I have found th Gheenoe that's mentioned a little higher in the thread and found a guy that may have one for sale. I will be getting one of these boats for sure. There is a picture on their website of one with 2 teenage kids and one younger girl in it. They are all three standing on one side and have one of their feet resting on the gunwales. The boat is listing slightly, but no where near tipping over. A pirogue and a canoe are nice, but unstable. A canoe is worse, wrong twist and it's flipping over.
I found out I have a buddy of mine that has one as well and he loves his.
There is a 13' model with a 5HP coast guard max power and a 15' with a 10HP coast guard max power. The 13' weights about 112 pounds, so a little on the heavy side, but nothing horrible.

Pirogue
I spoke with Ron Chapman this morning. I have two of his pirogues that I use duck hunting. They hope to be back up and running by March this year and could use the business then. I know this will be after the season, but keep those guys in mind. If anyone needs phone numbers let me know. You can't beat a Pirogue!
