Mississippi River Runner

If your talking 16 feet long and 60 inches wide then all you need to do is get movin', that joka is plenty big for the big muddy. I've spent a ton of time in the MS river, in both high and low waters, in a 15 ft. terry bass boat w/ a 50hp that wasn't hardly 4 feet wide. The boat you spoke of won't have a problem AT ALL, granted you use a little common sense while navigating. Take off ~ BigMule

I need a little help and cant seem to get anyone to respond on the other boards, You know the ones. To you guys that run the big river what size rig would you feel comfortable in, in low and high water conditions. I have a semi-v 16x60 with very deep sides and a new 50hp motor do yall think this one would be safe. I have lived in MS all my life and have been on smaller rivers most of it but I have never spent any time on the big muddy.I appreciate any input yall can give me. Stay away from any barges, those wakes are wicked powerfull.

Also, I don't go out on the Ol' Man without a kicker (spare)motor.
