They are the best built duck boat on the river. Outlaw Josey Wales has an 1860 & I have a 2072.

I think they are crude and the weld's look like a 10 year old kid's bubble gum on the underside of a school desk.

You want a nice boat for the same money get a Southern Duck Boat.

I've owned 2 or their mud boats and bought a Pro-Drive from them, etc.........they are a much nicer rig.

Plus they just became sponsors.

I got an F & F 1860, good boat. I would stay away from there trailers though, they apparently buy um from somebody and they arent worth a schit.

they got a good boat but the trailers are made there too and they arent very strong at all. i used to sell for them but too far for me to drive to only make a few dollars on a boat especially with gas prices now

You are apparently misinformed.

A Southern Duck Boats Mud Boats are tougher than a Gator Trax.

The ribs are bigger, the transom is stonger. The boat is nicer.

I check into it before I bought one.

I've owned a Gator Trax they are nice but this boat is better.

About the same weight. Both really heavy for a mud boat. They have some lighter weight stuff coming out that is strength wise more in line with the other boat manufacturers.

The reason they are slightly heavier is 2x3 ribs in the bottom plus side ribs. that's a lot more ribs than your typical mud boat.

The boat is stout. I've run it all season and have yet to knock a dent in the bottom. And I'm rough on it.

I've had both a 27PD and a 35 Hyper Sport my buddy owns on the back of it this season.

So says a satisfied customer. Not a Dealer.

i am a satisfied customer i was a customer first then a dealer and you are right the southern duck boats are very nice but i think the one piece hull sets the gator trax apart and they are the toughest but the southerns are very nice as well not trying to take anything away from them

I was just saying the F&F is a great BIG WATER boat. You stay dry and they can handle the roughest water the Mighty Mississippi can throw at you. I'm sure F&F would SUCK in the mud with a mud motor on it.
