THANKS Delta Duck....Youve come through for me more than once before !!

I will give him a call...Im sick and tired of hauling water and waiting on politicians who say the water is on the way !! Ive been waiting 4 years on the North Bolivar Water District...Of course they will call about the time I pay to put down my own well !!

i say to attend the next board meeting and hold their feet to the fire about the proposed water line project... a 12 dollar a month water bill sure beats a 5 grand tab up front.... good luck and i hope water comes your way..... i grew up with a well and they are great when they work, but can ruin a weekend if they don't...

Yep, I grew up on a 30 ft. shallow well, too.
We had a hand pump on it, and all the iron in the water discolored everything. I was 18 years old before I found out that Fruit of the Loom drawers weren't really yellow!!!

you probally can't get a shallow well any more in the delta due to crop irrigation and if you did you would not want to drink it but good luck probally arround 2500 to 3000

I was going to put in a well a few years ago for my spraying biz. I was quoted 10K, if I remember correctly.

MAN !! This is all pretty depressing !! We got 20 acres of water we hunt on..sounds like it would be cheaper to put in my own water treatment plant !!

Or maybe find a way to tap into those funny looking holes in the ground that the farmer keeps hooking deisel engines to !!

Jeez...maybe I should go back to my idea of a 1000 gallon water tank on a farm trailer with an on demand pump...and sneak into town after dark to fill it at a fire hydrant ??
