Where this country is headed........

Postby Swamp Rat » Fri Jun 28, 2002 6:38 am

Duckman: Get back up on that box and preach some more. I am so sick and tired of the whny mouth wimps who are now infringing on my rights. Nothing against lawyers mine you; But they are the ones who profit from these lawsuits. I realize that many of them are in these action groups so I do not speak out to any in particular. It seems that all evil rears its head on the west coast and then makes it way east. It is unfortunate that our wonderful state does not have enough electorial votes to really make a difference. If the west coast and the upper east coast agree; then there is the clout needed to make a change. Unfortunately this area is also the rooting bed of the problem.
As for me and my house we will continue to serve the Lord. The book of Habakkah say to listen; watch, and pray. Good advise for these times.

Don't panic, guys! Yes, there is stupidity rampant in our society today, but there is still a lot of good stuff out there. Do you think that my children in my school are not praying? Man, look at the schools around you and I think you will see more young people today truly committed to the ways of Christ than at any time in our nations history. In my school, there are three separate groups that meet three times a week before school for Bible study (over 150 kids in all). There are over 100 students who meet weekly for FCA. My daughter's school has more that that. Our Board of Education has approved release time for students to leave campus and receive religious instruction for credit. All of this is in a public school system in suburban Atlanta. I don't remember this from the "good ole days" when things were supposedly better! I will not panic over what a liberal group of ne'r-do-wells in CA decide! I believe in our nation's constitution and will die, if need be, to protect what it insists on for the individuals in our country. And, as one of those protected individuals, I will insist on what it provides for me and my family and will also insist on my right to disaggree with others in our interpretation of what those guarantees are. This grievance will be addressed; it already has been, in fact. The President, the Attorney General, and many others have publicly stated that this decision will not stand. Where else in this world could this dicussion take place and there not be bloodshed as a result...NOWHERE but in the good ole USA! As the song says, I intend to "stand beside her, and guide her, through the night with a light from above." God bless these United States and all her people!

In my opinion if the blacks would stop yelling about racism there wouldn't be as much as people believe there is.
You don't hear white people going to court because a black man called them a honky or a cracker. Who gives a damn.A black man can call another black man a N----- but if a white man does it then he is a racist.
I don't owe them $#!+, I have never owned one.If my ansesters owned one of their ansesters then that is between them.Personnaly I don't believe they are worth the money.I'd rather do the damn work myself.
It is our own fault, because if we hadn't been so damn lazy then we wouldn't have needed them over here in the first place.
They sure do love their MOTHERLAND (Africa) But you can't pay one to go back over there.

This may be the straw that boke the camels back! I can certainly say that I would have never expected this one. I remember saying The Pledge of Allegiance and praying every morning in school. It was just something that was done. Even though this was after Prayer was banned in schools. I guess being from a small town really has its advantages.

We are going to have to stand together against the liberal minds that are proposing, supporting, and passing these ammendments and laws. Men are going to have to stand up as the head of the household and uphold the Bible and God's Word in their homes. This is where it begins! Men being fathers and women being mothers. My parents would never allowed me to watch television shows of the caliber that are being shown (they would still slap the teeth out of my head). Yes, I said they would lay their hands on me, something thast happended pretty reguarly, along with belts, switches, or anything else that was conveniently handy. Does this meanthat I suppot corporal punishment, YES I DO! If I did something wrong, I was punished, and I usually deserved. The liberalists today would see this as abuse and infringement upon my childhood rights.

Another thing my parents did that I will always appreciate, is they made sure I was in Church EVERY Sunday and EVERY Wednesday. They did not, nor do they now, live like Christians just on these two days, they lived it every day. That is what we are going to have to do today in the society we are living in. We are the only ones who can make a difference today and in the future. We must make the difference today and our children must make the difference tomorrow. That means we must instill the proper values and beliefs in our children so they can be tomorrow's leaders.

We must stand together and vote for those people who have Godly beliefs. Most of all, we need to be praying daily for those in positions making decisions. There is nothing wrong with praying in public, and we must not act as though there is. It is crucial we support students who lead prayer groups and Christian activities in our school system.

The one thing that is certain, is those passing these liberalistic laws need a one on one relationship with God. If they had this relatoinship, no one would have to expalain to them why Christians believe the way they do. It is sad that so many of these people do not understand what it is like, or how it feels to have the protecting and guiding hand of Almighty God over them or their children. To me, this is why the statement "One Nation, Under God" is so special. As for me, I want to live in a country that is "UNDER" God. If you have God, what else do you need? HE will supply your every need! Most importantly HE sent His Son to die on the cross for every single person who has lived since Jesus walked here among man. I know that when my life is over, I want Jesus at my side saying that I have believed and accepted him and that I am an aire to His kingdom. I know that am I not worthy of His Salvation, but he graciously gave it to me when I asked Him to come into my heart. If everyone would believe in Christ, and accept him, can you imagine what society would be like versus the way it is today. I don't know about the country going to hell in a hand basket, but there are a large number of people who are, and they need our prayers and God's grace. No one has ever done anything God will not forgive them for. We must plant a seed in these people that will grow and cause them to seek God, and probably most importantly, live a life in front of them to let them know there is something different about a person who is saved by the grace of God.

I hope I do not sound like I am preaching, but we must go back to the basics. We must make a start somewhere, and somethimes, the beginning is the best place. I think a large number of the posts here state that in some form or fashion. We are a start. GoddBless!

When prayer goes from school and now the "Under God" is trying to be taken out of the Pledge of Allegiance, IMHO, that is exactly where this country is going!!

This country was founded partly for religious freedom and if you want to believe in allah or whoever, I don't care.

But it was founded on Christianity, so don't come here and try to bully your ways and beliefs on me, 'cause it ain't gonna happen.
I'll die first!!
